By downloading, installing, or using SayScribe ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

SayScribe is a meeting recording and transcription app that uses AI to generate summaries, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up emails from audio recordings.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

  • SayScribe offers a free tier with limited features and paid subscription tiers (Standard, Pro, Premium) with additional capabilities.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store and managed by Apple. Pricing is displayed in the app before purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

3. Recording Consent

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding recording conversations, including but not limited to obtaining consent from all parties where required. Many jurisdictions require consent from all parties before recording. SayScribe does not provide legal advice on recording consent requirements.

4. Vehicle Use & Safety

SayScribe's car mode is designed for hands-free, passive recording only. You must set up any recording before operating a vehicle. Do not interact with the app or your device while the vehicle is in motion. You are solely responsible for safe operation of your vehicle at all times. SayScribe and its developers assume no liability for any accident, injury, property damage, or traffic violation arising from use of the app while driving or operating a vehicle. By using car mode, you agree to comply with all applicable traffic and distracted driving laws in your jurisdiction.

5. AI-Generated Content

Summaries, meeting minutes, action items, sentiment analysis, and other AI-generated content are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should review all AI outputs for accuracy before relying on them for any professional, personal, legal, medical, or financial decisions.

SayScribe is not a substitute for professional note-taking, legal transcription, medical dictation, or any other professional service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app to record conversations without proper consent where required by law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its services.
  • Use the app to process content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Abuse the service by circumventing usage limits or authentication mechanisms.

7. Intellectual Property

SayScribe and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SayScribe and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your recordings and their resulting transcripts and AI outputs belong to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

SayScribe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
  • Transcriptions or AI outputs will be accurate or complete.
  • The app will meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SayScribe and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for violation of these Terms or abuse of the service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
